1. Choose a niche
The first step in self marketing is to identify who you are. For example, if you do it security to make a living, your niche cannot be security. It's too spacious and there are too many people doing it. You will soon get lost in the shuffle.
Instead, you can be someone who provides a cheap security to become a single owner's business which is a total of the novice when it comes to the cyber world.
When you choose a niche that exists like this, ideas immediately appear in your mind with whom you have to market and what you need to do. If only "security," you will have trouble finding out where even starting to market yourself.
2. Become an expert
Trust is important when you market yourself, and people believe experts, so it's important you find a way to position yourself as someone with knowledge about your niche. You already have that knowledge, of course, but people don't know it, so you have to do some hard work to get your name there. You have worked hard to learn how to work for yourself, so look at the research and become knowledgeable.
If there are some certifications that you can get, it's a good first step. You also have to reach media. 3. Educate.
You have the knowledge that many people find valuable, so put it there. Content marketing is a very valuable tool for building your brand, so use it by creating rich articles and rich keywords to be sent to your website.

4. Build the social media following
Social media is challenging to master, but this is important, so you need to develop an account on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms.
One of the important things to remember is to find out your audience: If most of your clients can be found on Facebook, spend more time there, and if it's LinkedIn, that's where you have to devote most of your resources.
You can take the content you made for your website and share it on social media. You can also use these platforms to interact with clients and other companies on your niche to develop further as follows and make your own name.
5. Be inclusive
Sometimes, it is best to let other people speak, and build your brand in the process. By being inclusive and let others join conversations, you show that you are willing to listen to other people's inputs that increase their willingness to work with you or do business with your company.
Invite guest poster to write for your blog, or maybe even take over your social media account for that day. They will add additional perspectives that the reader or follower you will find valuable, and they will increase your personal brand profile.
